The Ohio Employee Ownership Center at Kent State University is partnering with the US Department of Agriculture on a webinar about its new loan guarantee program for rural businesses:
Using B&I Loan Guarantees for Transferring Business Ownership to Employees

This webinar is geared towards rural businesses (and those who help them) interested in learning more about the USDA’s new loan guarantee program. The webinar will discuss utilizing the program to either sell an ownership interest to the employees using either an ESOP or a worker owned cooperative, or in making capital improvements to their existing business. The webinar is free and is geared towards 1) service providers (attorneys, accountants, etc.) with rural clients; 2) business owners in rural areas interested in selling their business to employees as part of an ownership succession plan; 4) economic development professionals in rural areas interested in learning more about programs for businesses in their communities.
